The Damage Report With John Iadarola

Joe Biden’s inappropriate ‘coming out’ moment. John Iadarola and Brett Erlich break it down on The Damage Report. All the candidates support LGBTQ rights, Biden warned, so there wouldn’t be much space between their positions. Any difference between the candidates, he said, would be in their “degree of emotional concern.” To prove the depth of his own emotional concern for queer people, Biden decided to act like one. He flirted with multiple men, joked that he was about to come out as gay, and at one point, clasped Anderson Cooper on the shoulder and mimed giving him a kiss. If you weren’t watching the town hall, you probably think I’m joking right now. I assure you, I am not. I expected Biden to say some nice things about Title IX, the Equality Act, and hate crimes legislation, then call it a night. I did not expect to see the former vice president try to show off his ally bona fides by telling a well-dressed audience member he looked like he’d “just stepped out of Gentlemen’s Quarterly” as the man stepped up to ask a question about racial health disparities." #TheDamageReport #JohnIadarola #TheYoungTurks

The Damage Report With John Iadarola

Rudy Giuliani's henchmen have been arrested in connection to the Trump Ukraine scandal. John Iadarola breaks it down on The Damage Report. Tillerson refused, arguing it would constitute interference in an ongoing investigation of the trader, Reza Zarrab, according to the people. They said other participants in the Oval Office were shocked by the request. Tillerson immediately repeated his objections to then-Chief of Staff John Kelly in a hallway conversation just outside the Oval Office, emphasizing that the request would be illegal. Neither episode has been previously reported, and all of the people spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the conversations. The White House declined to comment. Kelly and Tillerson declined to comment via representatives. Another person familiar with the matter said the Justice Department never considered dropping the criminal case. Zarrab was being prosecuted in federal court in New York at the time on charges of evading U.S. sanctions against Iran’s nuclear program. He had hired former Attorney General Michael Mukasey and Giuliani, who has said he reached out repeatedly to U.S. officials to seek a diplomatic solution for his client outside the courts." #TheDamageReport #JohnIadarola #TheYoungTurks

The Damage Report With John Iadarola

Donald Trump says pass to the impeachment inquiry. John Iadarola and Jayar Jackson break it down on The Damage Report. The letter, from White House counsel Pat Cipollone, reads more like a political document than a legal one. It claims Democrats are violating President Donald Trump’s right to due process, as well as violating “the Constitution, the rule of law, and every past precedent,” with their inquiry, and suggests the inquiry is politically motivated and seeks to nullify the results of the 2016 election. “Put simply, you seek to overturn the results of the 2016 election and deprive the American people of the President they have freely chosen,” Cipollone wrote. “Many Democrats now apparently view impeachment not only as a means to undo the democratic results of the last election, but as a strategy to influence the next election, which is barely more than a year away.”" #TheDamageReport #JohnIadarola #TheYoungTurks
